Bridge Vets is a veterinary practice that also operates as a veterinary nurse training facility. The website references emergency care, repeat prescriptions, online bill payment, appointment booking, and a Pet Health Club proactive healthcare plan.
Recent reviews paint a mixed picture: many owners describe friendly staff who listen to concerns and vets who take time to explain options, including careful checks during appointments. However, a few reviews describe significant operational issues, including a late-running appointment during an end-of-life discussion, problems taking payment due to a system crash, and billing follow-up that didn’t match payment records. One review also reports a confirmed vaccination/check-up appointment being cancelled shortly before the visit, and another alleges emergency pricing far higher than their usual vet.

Would never use this vet again. We had a wonderful experience when using their Cults surgery but more recently they advised us they don’t offer a vet service there any more and only offer nurses so we were forced to choose Nigg. We had one visit there and were absolutely shocked how bad it was. Cults was bright, modern and excellent customer service, especially from the receptionist who was exemplary every time. Nigg by contrast seems to have a clear focus on revenue, not customer service. We made an appointment at what was at extremely difficult time to discuss end of life care for our dog. The waiting area is tiny and as we waited and waited and waited it got busier and busier. Two receptionists never once thought to advise us that they were running over half an hour late as after 20mins past our appointment time we had to ask what was going on. It would have been kind to keep customers updated on lengthy waits rather than ignore them. After being charged £61 for the privilege of the consultation they couldn’t take payment as their system crashed. Our dog sadly passed away two nights later and we were so glad we didn’t have to go back to that place and instead went to an out of hours surgery at Kingswells. We got a kind card from the surgery but still no bill for the last consultation so I tried to call and pay this but was told I would get a callback within 24hrs. I didn’t, instead a bill was posted out. I paid this thinking we could put this matter out of our head but came back from holiday to a reminder letter to pay it or face it being escalated with charges applied. I called the surgery who could find no record of the bill being paid. I was advised all finance staff were on leave and there were no managers. The receptionist said she would transfer me to a manager in Bridge of Don but after 15mins on hold I hung up and emailed the practice manger with a screen shot to prove I paid. She never replied and my email summarising our experience was ignored which told me lots about how little emphasis they now put on customer care. I eventually got a call back from a different staff member who said she forgot to check a system and had now found my payment and the bill was settled. Our experience has left us feeling that this business is about packing in customers and animals for maximum profit and they have totally lost the excellent customer service approach that their cults branch once offered.

Very disappointed to find, that during a time of need, we got fleeced by these unethical vets. Came here in an emergency and received treatment, appropriate, yes, but after comparing their prices to our regular vet we found out their prices are 3 to 5 times the price depending on treatment (which aren't exactly cheap elsewhere either). Disgusted. Price disparity is ok, but not this much. Yuck.

Watch out – this is by far the most unprofessional and irresponsible place I have had the misfortune of dealing with in a long time.** I contacted this veterinary practice because I urgently needed annual vaccinations and a full check-up for my dog before going on holiday. I explained clearly that the vaccinations were a must, as my dog would be staying in kennels and this was a requirement. A staff member assured me it could all be done – no problem – and scheduled a visit for us. I organised everything around this appointment, trusting their word. Then, out of nowhere, they called me on a Saturday – just three days before my appointment – to say they *wouldn’t* be able to see me after all. Suddenly, they “don’t have time” and “can’t do the vaccinations” they had already promised and booked. No solution offered, no attempt to fix their mistake – just a flat cancellation. This left me scrambling last-minute, with holiday plans and kennel arrangements hanging in the balance. I am left asking: Who is this staff member who promises something they can’t deliver?Do they even realise the disruption and stress they cause their clients? If you value reliability, professionalism, and basic respect for your time, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. This practice clearly cannot be trusted to keep their word or honour confirmed bookings

We've been registered with Bridge Vets since 2020, and we've been consistently happy with the level of care and service they've provided. The entire team is incredibly friendly, not just with the animals, but also with the owners. The vets are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and always take the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly. One vet in particular, Henry, stands out for his exceptional care and professionalism. I truly appreciate the dedication he shows, and I can't recommend him enough. What I value most about Bridge Vets is their teamwork and the way they prioritize their patients' well-being. I feel confident and reassured every time we visit, and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. They really go above and beyond!

Great care and concern given to my poorly cat Elliot. Staff really understands what our pets mean to us.
